Top 10 animated comedies of all time (that you probably haven’t seen). Number 9: Monkey Dust

Monkey Dust is admittedly the only British entry in my top 10 and it’s not for everyone. With light-hearted humour being punctuated with darkness, this show isn’t going to be for everyone. If you don’t mind the occasional joke about paedophiles, terminal illness, Nazis or suicide, then you should be okay.

The reason Monkey Dust is in my top ten is for a number of reasons, mainly because (for the first series at least) the humour was unflinching and the social commentary was sharp and disconcerting. The claustrophobia and frustration imbedded within each episode felt like a reflection of the post-Iraq Blair years.
